   There Comes a Time

   Throughout life, as everyone acknowledges, conflicts are presented and choices are made with hopes that they “work” out and all that jazz. These everyday decisions can be as miniscule as what we eat for breakfast or as drastic as what college we choose to attend and so on.

   One of the best pieces of advice I’ve heard came just a few minutes ago. Never believe that a door is closed, opportunities will always present themselves to those looking. Often times it can be extremely frustrating, however at the end of the day, we hold our own destiny in our hands. We, as individuals, make choices and decisions and will always have alternative routes and paths to take. Ultimately we end up with the same result, but that life journey is what matters and at the end of each day, contentment within yourself is the most important thing. Not the money, not the car you drive, not the status you hold within society. Satisfaction in yourself, universally, should be the most strived for aspect of human life, however, we are constantly caught up in the obsolete and insignificant.

   Enjoy each day to the best of your ability because truthfully the only person who cares that your moping over yourself is yourself.

I'm dan, I play bass guitar and enjoy a game called baseball. I'm defined through my poetry, which I've become less open about. Despite what you may have heard, I have a big heart.

I firmly believe for anyone to make another happy, one must be happy with oneself. With that said, I'm seeking satisfaction in myself.
